Database Engineer

Oxfordshire (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Up to £45,000 | Permanent

We’re working with a long-established, financially stable UK business operating in a complex, regulated environment. They’re investing in how data supports Finance and core operations and now need a Database Engineer to take ownership of their data warehouse and help shape its next phase.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You won’t be siloed, you’ll work closely with IT, Finance and business stakeholders to turn requirements into practical, high-quality data solutions.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning and optimising the existing data warehouse
• Improving performance, reliability and data quality
• Building and maintaining data pipelines from multiple systems
• Developing scalable data models to support reporting
• Supporting the evolution towards a more modern data architecture

What they’re looking for..

Essential:

• Strong SQL experience in a production environment
• Experience with data warehousing, modelling or ETL
• Comfortable improving data quality and consistency
• Confident working with non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

Azure / Microsoft data tools, ERP systems, Jet Analytics, Fabric, DAX or Power BI.
