BESS Solutions Manager – UK (Central London)

Hybrid working (3 days onsite min per week)

SR2 are supporting a global battery energy storage manufacturer that has recently opened its London office to build a UK team from the ground up.

We are hiring a BESS Solutions Manager to lead pre-sales technical strategy, solution design and bid support across UK energy storage projects.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering and commercial delivery — ideal for someone who enjoys turning technical complexity into clear, winning solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing project proposals, feasibility studies and preliminary system designs
• Delivering pre-sales technical support, solution demonstrations and demand analysis
• Developing technical documentation for tenders and supporting bid clarification
• Negotiating and reviewing technical agreements within contracts
• Acting as technical liaison with owners, design institutes, suppliers and internal teams
• Supporting product development decisions through market and project insight
• Delivering training to sales teams, partners and customers
• Representing the business at conferences and external events

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics or similar
• Experience within energy storage, lithium batteries, renewable energy or power electronics
• Understanding of BMS, PCS, EMS and system integration architecture
• Experience supporting energy storage integration or battery storage projects
• Strong documentation skills (Office, AutoCAD and related tools)
• Clear communicator, analytical thinker, detail-oriented and proactive
