We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer who will be responsible for engineering, management and technical compliance of the projects assigned by the project manager. You will direct and coordinate the activities associated with running projected in accordance with company goals.


Purpose of the role - We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to support our team in solving complex organisational and engineering/operational challenges, Provide engineering and management resource to direct, supervise and support all project related operations. Plan, develop and implement all activities associated with the efficient and profitable running of the assigned projects. Ensure technical compliance of the project engineering during design, procurement, modelling, drawing and installation activities in line with the agreed project brief.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you’ll support the successful delivery of M&E projects from planning through to handover. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating project activities to ensure efficient, profitable delivery
  • Reviewing designs, drawings and specifications to ensure technical and regulatory compliance
  • Leading technical checks, submittals, plant/equipment enquiries and procurement support
  • Monitoring project progress, sequencing and quality to meet programme requirements
  • Supporting commercial activities including variations, subcontract orders and cost reviews
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Coordinating with mechanical, electrical and wider project teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Overseeing installation quality, zero‑defects reporting and commissioning readiness
  • Ensuring all project activities meet company health & safety standards
  • Preparing project reports and representing the business at key meetings


What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with excellent project coordination skills. You will bring:

  • Degree‑level qualification in engineering is preferred (BSc/BEng)
  • Strong technical competence in Mechanical Engineering project delivery
  • Experience reviewing designs, managing technical compliance and supporting procurement
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging clients and stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
