An established and growing EV charging infrastructure business is looking to appoint a Service Engineer to support its expanding portfolio of AC and DC charging assets across the UK.


This is a field-based role focused on fault finding, maintenance, and technical support, ensuring high uptime across commercial and public charging networks.

You’ll be joining a business operating at scale in the UK’s rapidly evolving energy transition market.


The Role


You will be responsible for:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of AC & DC charge points
  • Reactive fault finding and repair
  • Electrical testing, diagnostics, and commissioning support
  • Working on LV systems (with some exposure to HV environments where authorised)
  • Liaising with DNOs, clients, and internal operations teams
  • Completing accurate service documentation and reporting
  • Supporting uptime targets and SLAs


This role is predominantly field-based, with regional coverage to minimise excessive travel where possible.


What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • 2391 or equivalent testing & inspection (preferred)
  • Experience in EV charging, renewable energy, or industrial electrical environments
  • Strong fault-finding ability
  • Full UK driving licence


Desirable:

  • ECS/JIB card
  • IPAF
  • Experience working with AC & DC rapid/ultra-rapid chargers
