Founding Platform / Data Engineer (Agentic AI)

FinTech Startup

Hybrid-Remote: Central London (3 days per week, City)

£90,000 - £100,000 + Equity + Benefits

They're building secure, intelligent infrastructure at the intersection of data, AI, and financial services and are now looking for a Platform Data Engineer (Agentic AI) to help architect the backbone of this

The Role: Platform Data Engineer (Agentic AI)

• Think secure, fault-tolerant, compliant infrastructure designed for sensitive financial data
• Multi-agent orchestration meets robust data engineering.
• This is a hands-on role for someone who can design the system and build it, shaping how agentic AI operates in a regulated fintech environment.

What They’re Looking For

Agent Infrastructure / Workflow Orchestration

• Experience designing and shipping LLM-powered systems into production / Multi-agent architectures & orchestration frameworks

Data Engineering

• Experience building RAG pipelines over structured & unstructured datasets / Knowledge graph design / Strong SQL & data modelling skills

Security Foundations

• Experience building systems that handle sensitive financial data responsibly

Experience Profile

• 5+ years experience
• Comfortable structuring your own work and acting as a strong technical voice
• Background in early-stage startups, you thrive in ambiguity
• Fluent in speed vs precision trade-offs
• FinTech experience is a plus

Startup experience is essential. You need to bring clarity where there isn’t any yet, and build scalable, secure AI infrastructure from the ground up.
