BettingJobs is working with an established UKGC operator who are seeking to bring in a Senior Compliance Lead, to join their team in East Sussex. This role is fully office based.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the senior compliance lead for the business, with overall responsibility for regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and develop the company's compliance framework in line with UK Gambling Commission requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the UK Gambling Commission and oversee all licence and regulatory matters.
  • Provide senior oversight of AML/CTF, safer gambling, affordability, and wider compliance risk.
  • Lead compliance monitoring, assurance, and issue remediation.
  • Prepare and present compliance and regulatory risk reports to the Executive Team and Board.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Compliance Team, promoting a strong culture of compliance and accountability.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and implement required changes across the business.
  • Support business growth and change initiatives by embedding compliance at an early stage.


Requirements:

  • Personal Management Licence (PML).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK gambling regulation and regulatory expectations.
  • Significant senior-level compliance experience in a regulated environment (gambling preferred).
  • Proven experience managing regulatory relationships and regulatory engagement.
  • Experience leading teams and reporting to senior leadership or board level.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Relevant compliance, regulatory, legal, or governance qualification (e.g. ICA).
  • Strong working knowledge of AML/CTF, safer gambling, data protection, and risk management frameworks.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Calm, resilient, and confident under pressure.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and commercially aware.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
