Business Development Manager

The Role:

If you're a commercially driven, field-based sales professional who enjoys being out on the road, building relationships and closing deals, this Business Development Manager opportunity offers a rewarding next step.

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for developing new business and growing existing accounts within the fish processing sector. You'll be in front of decision makers, understanding operational challenges and presenting high-value, engineered solutions that genuinely improve customer performance.

This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in winning business, and is comfortable managing a technical sales process. You'll work closely with engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions, while maintaining strong commercial control of your territory.

The Business Development Manager will manage day-to-day customer relationships, drive revenue growth, and take ownership of targets and KPIs. Regular travel is part of the role, covering the UK, (particularly Scotland and Humberside), along with some European trips-ideal for someone who prefers being out in the field rather than behind a desk.

Requirements for the Business Development Manager role:

· Proven experience selling food processing capital equipment

· Comfortable with regular travel and staying away when required

· Self-motivated, competitive, and results-focused

· Strong work ethic with a desire to build a long-term career

· Based within 1 hour of UK company HQ in Rugby

· Full UK driving licence

The Package for Business Development Manager:

· £50,000 - £60,000 basic salary

· Uncapped commission (OTE £10,000 year one)

· Fully expensed electric company car

· Private medical and dental cover

· 25 days holiday + 9 bank holidays

· £65 per day tax-free subsistence allowance when travelling
