Solar Design Engineer - challenging and complex projects

Job description

Seeking Solar Design Engineers for two clients: one involved in complex, utility scale projects across Europe and Africa; the other involved in technically challenging solar rooftop and BESS installations for residential and commercial applications across UK, and Europe, with a growing footprint into Eastern Europe.

We are welcoming applications from graduated engineers with at least 2-4 years solar design experience with focus on cable sizing, grid connection, protection and control mechanisms:

• Experience working on C&I or distributed generation PV projects.
• Working knowledge of LV systems, inverter-based generation, and cable sizing.
• Familiarity with grid application processes.
• Ability to review technical drawings and documentation with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel across Europe and Africa as required.
• Fluent professional English (and Afrikaans advantageous)
• Right to work in the UK essential
