Full-Stack Engineer

London (Hybrid)

£65K + Discretionary Bonus

Our client is a well-funded, founder-led sports-tech startup building real-time systems for processing and analysing live content with modern AI tooling. Small team, high-trust environment, solving complex engineering problems.

As a Full-Stack Engineer you'll own end-to-end delivery of real-time video, data, and AI analysis on their sports content platform.

Core Stack:

• Backend: Java 21, Kafka, Postgres, Docker, Terraform
• Frontend: SolidJS, TypeScript
• Infra: AWS (Serverless & Containers), Confluent
• AI Ops: Heavy daily use of AI Coding Assistant (Claude Code)

• Flow state is in architecture, managing agents, code quality - not just writing code
• Proactively automate workflows and hate manual work AI can solve

• Eager to learn, aware of blind spots, build great team camaraderie

Must-Haves

• Polyglot mindset - read and review Java 21 (Node, Python, Go experience welcome)
• Frontend experience in SolidJS preferred, or React/Vue/Svelte with willingness to switch
• Proven experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
• Already using AI tools daily for productivity gains
• Write clean, tested, documented code with security and performance in mind
• Comfortable in fast-moving, iterative environments
