Software Engineer

BleuBox Group is looking for a Software Engineer

Job description

We’re growing fast and looking for a talented Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of ML, automation, and intelligent systems.

This role sits within Chaos Theory Labs, part of BleuBox Group, where we focus on building advanced Machine Learning and automation systems from the ground up.

This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who enjoys learning quickly, thinking deeply, and tackling real technical challenges. You’ll work across the full stack — from system design and core logic to optimisation and deployment. Most of our work is greenfield. We start from first principles, question assumptions, and build solutions that genuinely make sense for the business. Less legacy. More ownership. More impact.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Programming: Python/C++/C#/Go/Rust; Git; clean code/design patterns YAGNI; unit + integration testing
  • AI/ML: predictive modelling; pre-processing; training/validation + bias analysis; scikit-learn/TensorFlow/PyTorch; CNN/RNN/Transformers; genetic algorithms
  • Data & Statistics: analysis + statistical inference; NumPy/SciPy
  • Systems & Simulation: AI pipelines (data to deployment); simulations/digital twins; automation to reduce manual work/errors
  • Engineering: systems thinking + architecture; control systems/feedback loops; iterative prototyping/testing; risk + reliability awareness
  • Databases & Performance: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL); schema + query optimisation; profiling/caching; AoS vs SoA
  • Desirable: REST/GraphQL APIs; open-source/research code; advanced applied maths/statistical modelling

We’re particularly keen to hear from you if you have experience in:

  • Finance, especially fintech or trading, or
  • LLM fine-tuning, customisation, and applied ML systems

(You don’t need experience in both — strong engineers from other backgrounds are very welcome.)

You’ll have real responsibility from day one, space to experiment, and the trust to make meaningful technical decisions.
