Skilled Machinist – Metal Cutting

Contract: Long-term

Hours: Days Monday to Friday

Overview

Our client, a global leader in Formula One, is seeking an experienced Skilled Machinist with strong metal cutting expertise to join their high-performance manufacturing division.

This is a key role supporting the production of precision components essential for race performance, development, and reliability.

This long-term contract provides the opportunity to work with cutting-edge materials, world-class machinery, and a team renowned for engineering excellence.

• Skills & Experience RequiredProven background as a Precision Machinist, CNC Machinist, Grinder, or similar within high-tolerance engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of metal cutting principles, including tool selection, chip formation, speeds/feeds, and machining strategy.
• Experience with either grinding operations and / or CNC programming would be highly desirable).
• Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances typically required in motorsport, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing.
• Confident reading engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with exotic materials common in F1 (e.g., titanium, Inconel, high-grade steels, aluminium alloys).
• Excellent problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to fine-tuning machining processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering right-first-time quality.
