Construction Manager - Civils

Job description

Civils Construction Manager needed for one of the largest HV substation projects in the UK, based in the London area. This is a high-profile National Grid scheme and a fantastic opportunity to work on critical UK energy infrastructure.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the civil engineering works for the project, ensuring site operatives carry out their work to the highest standards and in line with health and safety legislation. Management of subcontractors, budgets and materials, as well as overall quality control and client liaison are key elements of the role.

Also vital are strong IT skills and a high degree of competency with paperwork, such as ITPs and RAMS.

Previous experience in the high voltage sector, specifically National Grid or DNO projects, is preferred. However, Civils Construction Managers from the utilities and infrastructure sectors will also be considered.
