Site Engineer

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join their growing team in the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the region’s most prestigious infrastructure projects, supporting delivery across a diverse civils portfolio.

The Role

Reporting to the Site/Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring works are accurately set out and delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying works in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Raising and managing Technical Queries
• Clearly communicating setting-out requirements to site teams
• Planning ahead in line with the project programme
• Carrying out final surveys and compiling as-built records
• Completing material take-offs and material usage reconciliations

What are we looking for

Proven experience in:

• Earthworks surveying & volumetric calculations
• Roads & sewers
• Utility infrastructure
• Reinforced concrete substructures
• Experience controlling GPS-enabled plant (Leica preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and LSS surveying software
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site team
