Senior Backend Engineer | Digital Payments | FinTech | Hybrid/Remote | £90k

A fast-growing global FinTech company building modern, on-chain financial infrastructure for payments, banking, and investments across 140+ countries.

Role:

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join a Digital Payments team working on high-scale systems that integrate with global bank networks, card schemes, and modern payment methods. You’ll own core backend services, influence architecture, and help move millions in daily transactions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years backend engineering experience.

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript/NodeJS expertise.

• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.

• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

• Strong focus on security, scalability, and reliability.

Nice to Have:

• FinTech, Crypto or payments experience.

• Message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

• Regulated or compliance-heavy environments.
