Fire & Security Role: Are you a Fire & Security Install Engineer working with CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, intercoms and fire detection systems?


Paying up to £40k

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Proven installation experience in at least three of the following: CCTV, intruder, access control, fire detection
  • Confidence with containment, cabling, terminations, IP networking basics and device addressing
  • Ability to work from drawings and method statements with strong attention to detail
  • Good customer communication and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, reliable and tidy approach to work
  • Safety conscious and compliant
  • Team player who can also work independently and take ownership
  • Positive attitude toward learning new technologies
  • Full UK driving licence


Qualifications:

  • ECS or CSCS card, or willingness to obtain
  • IPAF and PASMA desirable
  • FIA units or equivalent for fire desirable
  • Manufacturer training on Hanwha, Texecom, Paxton, Dahua, Advanced, Kentec, Apollo or Hochiki beneficial
  • DBS check required


About the role:

Install, commission and hand over electronic security and life safety systems for commercial and domestic customers in line with NSI Gold and BAFE requirements. Systems include CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, intercoms and fire detection.


Responsibilities include installation, termination, programming and commissioning to British and European Standards, working from first fix to final fix, producing as-fitted mark-ups, testing and documenting systems, completing RAMS and permits to work, liaising with customers, training end users, maintaining van stock, supporting audits, and occasional travel or overnight stays.
