ProFlex 4 Solution Architect | ATM Systems Integration | Financial Services Consultancy

• Location: London (1 day on site per week)
• Contract: Initial 3 months (likely extension to 6+ months)
• Day Rate: £550-£650 per day Outside IR35
• No visa sponsorship is offered for this role.

The role

We’re supporting a specialist consultancy delivering a large-scale ATM programme within the banking sector, and they are looking to secure an experienced ProFlex 4 Solution Architect to lead the architecture and integration workstream.

This is a highly niche contract role focused on configuring and architecting around Diebold Nixdorf’s ProFlex 4 platform. The environment is integration-led rather than development-led - the core software is locked, so success comes from understanding how to design, configure, and connect systems effectively.

This is a senior, hands-on architecture position where you will define how ATM software integrates with wider banking platforms and guide delivery across a complex ecosystem.

Your immediate focus will be:

• Leading solution architecture for a major ATM transformation project
• Designing how banking systems integrate into and out of ProFlex 4
• Configuring platform capabilities and defining best-practice architecture
• Assessing existing systems and identifying integration pathways
• Acting as the SME on ProFlex 4 capabilities and constraints

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for ProFlex 4 implementations
• Design integration approaches between ATM software and core banking systems
• Configure and architect platform capabilities (not coding)
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Define best-practice setup, configuration, and system connectivity
• Provide technical leadership across project delivery phases
• Guide future delivery teams (testing and supporting functions) once architecture is established

Technical Environment:

ProFlex 4 / ATM software platforms / Banking system integrations / Java-based middleware (configuration-focused) / SDK integrations / Financial services infrastructure

Essential Experience:

• Strong, hands-on ProFlex 4 expertise (non-negotiable)
• Experience architecting ATM or self-service banking solutions
• Solution architecture focused on configuration and integration
• Understanding of banking software ecosystems and system connectivity
• Ability to lead architectural decisions within constrained proprietary platforms

Desirable Experience:

• Background with Diebold Nixdorf or Wincor Nixdorf environments
• Professional services or consulting delivery experience
• ATM deployment or transformation programmes
