Administrator – ADHD & Autism Assessment Service

Location: Telford

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm)

Start Date: ASAP


A specialist healthcare recruitment agency is supporting a newly established, CQC-regulated neurodevelopmental provider that has recently secured an NHS ICB contract to deliver ADHD and Autism assessments.


Due to service mobilisation and clinicians commencing in April, the client is seeking a highly organised Administrator to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an onsite role based in Telford.


The Role

The Administrator will manage incoming referrals from NHS ICBs, GPs, and other approved pathways, ensuring patients are accurately onboarded and prepared for clinical assessment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and processing referrals from NHS ICBs, GPs, and private pathways
  • Accurately inputting patient information onto the clinical system
  • Issuing assessment paperwork and tracking completion
  • Uploading documentation and maintaining structured electronic records
  • Liaising with GP practices to request additional clinical information
  • Preparing complete files for clinical review
  • Sending reports and quality assurance documentation back to GPs
  • Maintaining compliance with governance, confidentiality, and audit standards

No appointments may be scheduled until all required documentation is complete and verified. Accuracy and process adherence are essential.


Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Strong organisational and diary management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident IT user (clinical systems / Microsoft Office)
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Telford


Desirable:

  • Experience in mental health or neurodevelopmental services
  • Experience managing referrals within healthcare
  • Understanding of CQC compliance and regulated services
  • NHS pathway experience


The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar healthcare referral-based role; however, individuals from mental health hospitals or regulated settings with strong governance awareness will also be considered.
