Senior Structural Engineer

Job description

Looking for Structural Engineers — we are currently working with a well-known multidisciplinary Engineering consultancy in London, specialising in Engineering and construction services across a variety of projects and sectors. Our client is looking for skilled Structural Design Engineers to join the team where fully remote working on competitive market rates can be offered. This contract will involve design across London refurbishment projects.

- Hourly rates Outside IR35 (large rate variation depending on experience).

- 3 day/week required in London

Responsibilities:

-Design and analyse structural systems that meet regulations, using appropriate materials and software.

-Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and ensure contractor work meets structural standards.

-Construct reports, drawings, and calculations using software such as Tekla, Tedds, Masterseries/Robot

-Work collaboratively with engineers, and other professionals, and provide technical advice and throughout the project.

-Manage planning applications and ensure compliance with building regulations.

Requirements:

- Structural design experience across steel/masonry structures. Refurbishment experience is preferred but not essential.

-Proficient in structural analysis and design software, such as Robot, Tekla, and STAAD.

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred), with proven experience working on projects linked to this field.

-Strong communications skills for client facing environments.

-Ideally Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
