Civil Engineer | Kettering

I’m supporting a respected engineering consultancy in Kettering that is looking to strengthen its civil engineering capability due to a growing workload.

The team delivers infrastructure design for projects across the UK, covering residential developments, education facilities and commercial schemes. Project sizes vary from smaller bespoke sites through to large multi phase developments, offering strong exposure and technical variety.

This position would suit an engineer who enjoys development infrastructure work and wants to be involved from early concept through to delivery.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be part of a collaborative civils team supporting the technical delivery of schemes, including:

• Developing infrastructure designs including highways, drainage and earthworks
• Producing calculations, design reports and technical documentation
• Preparing drawings and models using industry standard software
• Supporting project delivery through coordination with clients, contractors and consultants
• Maintaining high standards in design outputs and technical documentation
• Attending site visits and assisting with surveys where required
• Exposure to a range of software : AutoCAD, Vehicle Tracking, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage & PDS

What they’re looking for

• Understanding of highways and drainage design, flood risk and utilities coordination
• Awareness of relevant design standards and CDM regulations
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Full UK driving licence
