Are you an expert in real-time audio DSP with a passion for building technology that truly matters?

The Oho Group have partnered with an ambitious telecommunications company looking for a Principal Audio Software Engineer to lead the development of advanced audio processing solutions for next-generation handheld mobile radio products used in mission-critical environments worldwide.

This is a senior technical leadership role where you’ll architect and optimise real-time audio algorithms that deliver exceptional voice intelligibility, robustness and reliability in the most demanding conditions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and implementing real-time DSP pipelines
• Leading technical direction and setting engineering standards for audio software
• Collaborating cross-functionally with embedded, hardware, systems and acoustics teams
• Driving performance optimisation for low-latency, resource-constrained platforms
• Supporting innovation, research, and long-term audio technology roadmaps

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience in real-time audio software / DSP development
• Strong C/C++ skills in embedded environments
• Deep knowledge of DSP algorithms
• Experience optimising for performance, stability and reliability
• Ability to lead complex technical initiatives end-to-end
