Graduate Food Technologist

South Lanarkshire | £30,000–£35,000 | Monday–Friday Days

I’m working with a food manufacturing business in South Lanarkshire that is strengthening its technical function following new ownership and leadership changes on site.

They supply major UK retailers and are building a more structured, accountable technical team.

This role will take responsibility for:

• Running daily sensory panels in line with retailer requirements
• Monitoring product consistency and quality benchmarks
• Supporting technical investigations and non-conformances
• Maintaining controlled documentation and audit readiness
• Working cross-functionally with production and quality

The environment:

• Retail-focused, fast-paced meat processing site
• Around 100 employees
• Strong customer oversight and expectation
• Clear push towards continuous improvement and structured reporting

This role would suit:

• A Food Science / Food Technology graduate
• A QA or Junior Technologist looking to step up
• Someone with 1–3 years’ food manufacturing experience

Salary is £30–35k, Monday to Friday, single shift.
