Are you an experienced Electrical Power professional ready to work on high voltage infrastructure across the UK?

My client is looking for a skilled Jointer to join their fast growing team, delivering top quality installation, testing, and maintenance of underground and overhead power cables (LV & HV up to 132kV)

Salary: Up to £60,000 per year, depending on experience

Location: On site across the UK

About the Role

As a Jointer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high quality delivery of power network projects.

Duties:

• Installing and jointing LV and HV cables, including straight joints, branch joints, terminations, and pot ends
• Interpreting technical drawings, site plans, and utility records with precision
• Conducting on site cable testing and fault location using certified methods and equipment
• Collaborating with site teams and supervising apprentices to support smooth project delivery
• Maintaining detailed jointing logs, test records, and as-built documentation

What My Client Is Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Power Engineering (or equivalent)
• Authorised for LV/HV jointing under relevant DNO/IDNO schemes
• Proven experience working on utility networks (LV/HV)
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, cable systems, and jointing methods
• Skilled in using test equipment such as TDR to verify insulation, continuity, and locate faults
• Ability to interpret site plans, cable route maps, and DNO/IDNO specifications accurately
• Full UK driving licence and valid CSCS or EUSR card
