Senior Business Development Manager | Retail Finance

Remote with 1 day per week in London

£70,000 to £90,000 base plus bonus

I’m partnering with a well established, FCA regulated retail finance provider entering a key growth phase. They are rebuilding their BDM function and this role will report directly into the Sales Director as their second strategic hire.

This is a genuinely high impact position. With the function being reshaped, you’ll play a critical role in driving new enterprise partnerships and influencing the future direction of the team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning the full 360 sales cycle across medium and large enterprise retailers

• Prospecting, negotiating and onboarding profitable new partnerships

• Managing complex RFP processes and commercial negotiations

• Building sector expertise and competitor insight

• Working closely with the Sales Director to explore new markets and verticals

• Contributing to proposition and go to market strategy

What they’re looking for:

• Proven success winning deals in a regulated credit or financial services environment

• Retail finance or closely aligned point of sale lending experience is essential

• Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to challenge and influence

• Analytical, thoughtful approach rather than purely transactional selling

• Ambition and temperament to help shape and grow a BDM function over time

This is strategic but hands on. You’ll have real autonomy, senior exposure and the opportunity to help rebuild and scale a commercial function from the ground up.
