Marketing & Membership Executive

Job description

To be responsible for the implementation of the marketing & communication channels and executing content marketing, alongside membership engagement and administration.

Overview of the role:

The Marketing function leads the creation and delivery of the Chamber’s marketing strategy and annual action plan, managing monthly communications calendars and campaigns across international, membership and project activity. It produces a wide range of content—from graphics, captions and event reels to weekly and monthly email newsletters—while maintaining a strong and consistent presence across social channels, including Zoho Social and Instagram. The role supports all departments through internal stakeholder engagement, drives event uptake through targeted campaigns, and optimises the Chamber’s website for visibility, conversion and business generation. It includes budget monitoring, reporting to senior leadership, writing press releases, and ensuring timely, on‑brand delivery of all marketing outputs.

The Membership function supports the engagement and retention of members through proactive account management and contributes to new business development to grow the network. It manages key programmes such as the Chamber Champion scheme and the In Your Shoes service, ensuring accurate tracking, fulfilment and weekly delivery of content. The role also supports new member onboarding by attending welcome events, creating introductory content and managing certificate presentations, while contributing to regular reporting on KPIs and membership metrics to ensure strong visibility of performance.

The Chamber generates its income primarily from its members, public contracts, services and events.  As a membership organisation, membership recruitment, engagement and growth are crucial in the continued success for the Chamber.  As the Marketing & Membership Executive it is your primary aim to market the range of services and activity that we provide to support our members and to work with the Membership Lead to engage & support our existing membership base. Our key aims are to connect, communicate and develop services to grow the local business community and support a thriving local economy.

This role is high profile within the business community, and you will be expected to represent the Chamber brand in a positive, engaging, energetic and above all professional manner.

The role will involve some evenings and out of hours responsibilities such as events preparation & support, event hosting/presentations/attendance and break down.

Travel will be primarily within the Dundee and Angus region.

Benefits

Salary £26,000 - £28,000

Base salary will be offered dependent on experience, and will include completion of a successful 6-month probationary period
