Maintenance Engineer – Cardiff

Circa £43,000

Monday–Friday | 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm


A leading manufacturing company in the Cardiff area is strengthening its Engineering team ahead of several exciting upcoming projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business investing heavily in its site and people.


The Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Working within a structured shift pattern (Monday–Friday, rotating earlies and lates), you’ll be part of a proactive and forward-thinking engineering function.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery
  • Fault finding and diagnostics (electrical and/or mechanical)
  • Supporting continuous improvement and project work
  • Driving reliability and performance improvements
  • Ensuring high standards of health & safety at all times


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong fault-finding skills
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (apprenticeship/Level 3 or above desirable)
