System Design Engineer – Power Electronics

Location: Greenwich, London

We are seeking a System Design Engineer – Power Electronics to lead the system design of high-voltage DC power systems. This job involves designing, testing, and implementing power conversion and distribution architectures, translating requirements into robust system solutions, and supporting reliability and fault-tolerant design.

Key Responsibilities for the System Design Engineer – Power Electronics job:

• Define system architecture for high-voltage DC-DC converters and power distribution
• Develop technical specifications and performance budgets
• Perform FMEA, system testing, and troubleshooting
• Support integration across electrical, firmware, software, and mechanical teams

Skills & Requirements for the System Design Engineer – Power Electronics job:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical / Power Electronics Engineering
• Experience in power electronics and high-voltage DC-DC systems
• Strong knowledge of converter topologies, reliability, and system architecture
• Hands-on experience with lab testing, simulations (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink), and fault-tolerant designs
