If you have a background in Full-Stack development and have since moved into solution design and client facing work, then this could be the role for you. We (SR2) are working with one of our amazing Bristol based clients who are looking for a Technical Consultant who will sit at the heart of the company - you will be supporting teams as their technical authority, as well as designing solutions for clients and supporting the consultancies external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong client advisory skills and a passion for innovation - including AI-led solutions!

Overview

• Shape and define technical solutions during pre-sales cycles
• Stakeholder management for external consultancy clients
• Own estimations and support proposals and Statements of Work
• Translate ambitious ideas into robust, scalable technical architectures
• Document solution approaches clearly for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bring fresh thinking, including emerging technologies and AI, into client conversations
• Run technical audits, discovery phases, and proof-of-concepts
• Assess client technology landscapes and provide strategic recommendations

Requirements:

• Technical background as a Full-Stack Developer, ideally working across a range of tech stacks
• Significant experience in a client-facing technical role (Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, etc.)
• Strong pre-sales experience - solution definition, estimation, and technical presentations
• Confidence advising and influencing senior stakeholders
• Experience leading discoveries, assessments, and technical audits
• Commercial awareness and the ability to clearly articulate scope, risk, and approach
• Eligible for SC clearance = RTW in UK + living in UK for over 5 years
