M&A Manager

Partner Group is looking for a M&A Manager

Job description

M&A Manager

Up to £95.000 + bonus & benefits

London. On-site

Partner Financial is working with a fast-growing, private equity-backed international media group operating across multiple B2B sectors. Backed by a leading mid-market private equity house, the business is executing an ambitious growth strategy through organic launches, and a disciplined acquisition programme.

This is a high-impact opportunity to join a lean and execution-focused M&A team in a newly enhanced role reporting to the Head of M&A. The position offers significant ownership across the full transaction lifecycle, from pipeline development through to execution and post-deal performance tracking. It is well suited to a commercially rigorous M&A professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and is seeking genuine responsibility within a scaling, investor-backed platform.

The successful candidate will play a central role in driving acquisition activity, leading bolt-on transactions end-to-end, and supporting larger platform deals, while maintaining strong valuation discipline and accountability for returns.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and actively managing a live pipeline of acquisition targets aligned to strategic growth verticals, conducting sector mapping and competitor analysis.
  • Maintaining and presenting structured pipeline reporting to senior leadership, tracking valuation benchmarks and comparable transactions.
  • Leading detailed financial evaluations of opportunities, including revenue quality analysis, EBITDA normalisation, working capital assessment and downside sensitivity modelling.
  • Building robust financial models and investment cases, clearly articulating valuation rationale, risk-adjusted returns, synergy assumptions and downside protections.
  • Leading bolt-on acquisitions end-to-end, including initial engagement, NDA execution, diligence coordination, data room management and transaction timetable oversight.
  • Managing financial, legal, tax and commercial due diligence processes, reviewing SPA financial schedules and overseeing completion mechanics including working capital adjustments.
  • Supporting post-acquisition integration and value creation tracking, monitoring ROI against the original investment case and identifying performance risks early.
  • Preparing high-quality Investment Committee papers and board materials, presenting clear financial analysis, commercial risks and mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders and investors.

The candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent), CFA advantageous.
  • Background in Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, M&A advisory or a private equity portfolio environment.
  • Demonstrable experience leading key elements of transactions independently.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills with strong technical understanding of EBITDA normalisation, working capital mechanics, completion accounts, earn-outs and valuation methodologies.
  • Commercially astute, detail-oriented and confident challenging assumptions.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to operate at pace in a growth-focused environment.
