Senior Legal Counsel, Wordings - 12-month FTC

Job description

A major global insurer is looking to hire a commercially minded legal professional with deep P&C (re)insurance wording expertise for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a city‑based, hybrid working role, offering an attractive and competitive benefits package.

The Role:

• Advise on complex P&C treaty & specialty wordings

• Support product development & new market entry

• Negotiate commercial terms with external partners

• Lead on complex sanctions referrals

• Help build next‑gen P&C wording tools

• Train underwriting teams & influence best practice

Requirements:

• Strong P&C (re)insurance legal/wordings experience

• Confident communicator with real commercial judgement

• Able to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders

• EMEA‑qualified lawyer (or equivalent) — exceptional non‑lawyers welcome to apply
