Funds Finance Lawyer

We are working with one of the largest financial services organisations across Asia, which has a strong, established and growing presence throughout Europe. This bank has harnessed a consistent and stable flow of business and continues to perform well despite current economic conditions affecting other international banks. They are in growth mode and it is a great time to join.

This bank is now looking for a finance lawyer who has a particular expertise in funds finance to join their EMEA legal team on a maternity cover role for 6-9 months.

The successful candidate will:

• Review, draft and negotiate new and existing banking, funds finance, insurance finance and general finance documentation (including LMA-based syndicated and bilateral loan documentation), as well as associated financing, term sheet and mandate documents;
• Advise, draft and liaise with business promotion groups and back office on all legal, and structuring matters;
• Monitor and advise on regulatory matters, and market developments affecting loads and funds finance products.

We are looking for:

• A common-law qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE, either from a top City firm or relevant in-house team;
• Strong knowledge of funds finance and the LMA suite of documentation is essential;
• Knowledge of insurance finance would also be useful;
• A strong sense of the regulatory landscape affecting this arena;
• A demonstrable desire to acquire a broad and varied role and the tenacity to do so.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer with a passion for transactional finance work to acquire a role within a growth area of this bank. The role would suit candidates who can forge strong relationships across all levels of the bank, both in the UK and internationally.
