Procurement Lead

A global life sciences organisation is seeking a Market Solutions Lead to join its Global Procurement Strategy & Solutions function.

This role is focused on developing and delivering market- and supplier-led solutions that address complex business challenges and create enterprise value beyond traditional procurement cost savings.

You will lead a medium to large global team, owning a portfolio of cross-category initiatives and working closely with senior business stakeholders, suppliers, and internal experts to co-create innovative, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and prioritise a global portfolio of solution initiatives across multiple business areas
• Guide and develop a high-performing, international team
• Translate business challenges into clear, actionable solution opportunities
• Design and deliver supplier- and market-driven solutions, frameworks, and services
• Engage senior stakeholders to align on problem statements and co-create outcomes
• Identify and leverage external innovation to accelerate value realisation
• Operate effectively within a complex, matrix organisation

About You

• Extensive experience in procurement, procurement strategy, supply chain advisory, or consulting
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-level initiatives beyond cost reduction
• Comfortable working across categories rather than owning a single spend area
• Strong stakeholder management, storytelling, and influencing skills
• Experience leading teams in a global, matrix environment
• Strategic, solution-oriented mindset with a bias for execution
• Degree in business or life sciences preferred
• Fluent business-level English
