Role Purpose


We are seeking a proactive Building Surveyor to join the commercial delivery team, supporting project work for blue-chip clients and national portfolios. You will provide technical expertise across building condition assessments, contract administration, fit-out and refurbishment projects while ensuring compliance, quality and commercial control. This role offers broad exposure to varied sectors, hands-on delivery responsibility, and career progression within a commercially strong consultancy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver building surveying services including surveys, defect diagnosis, reports and recommendations across commercial property portfolios.
  • Support commercial project delivery on refurbishment, fit-out, extension and compliance programmes.
  • Undertake contract administration and employer’s agent functions to protect client interests.
  • Prepare technical documentation, schedules of condition and specification input.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders at all stages to deliver value-driven outcomes.
  • Provide practical solutions balancing cost, time, quality and risk across project lifecycles.


Candidate Profile

  • Chartered would be great but not essential for this role.
  • Experience in commercial building surveying, technically complex projects, and client-facing roles.
  • Confident in producing detailed technical reports and overseeing defect resolution.
  • Knowledgeable in contract practice, specification and procurement.
  • Strong communicator with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
