Job description

Clinical Negligence Solicitor | 2–6 PQE | London | Hybrid Working

Are you a passionate Clinical Negligence lawyer looking to take the next step in your career? A leading national practice is seeking a talented solicitor to join its highly respected Clinical Negligence team, supporting clients who have suffered medical injury or medical negligence and guiding them through complex, sensitive claims.

This award‑winning firm is recognised for its commitment to justice, diversity and professional development. With a strong reputation across multiple practice areas and a genuinely supportive culture, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow within a high‑performing Clinical Negligence department.

The Role

You will work directly with senior leadership and handle a varied caseload of Clinical Negligence matters, including claims involving medical injury, medical negligence, birth injuries, cosmetic surgery issues, misdiagnosis and surgical errors. You’ll provide expert guidance to clients, prepare cases, review medical records, draft schedules of loss and manage files through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing your own caseload of Clinical Negligence and medical negligence matters
  • Supporting clients who have suffered medical injury with empathy and professionalism
  • Preparing cases, drafting documents and attending clients
  • Reviewing medical records and maintaining accurate time‑costing
  • Providing technical guidance to junior team members where required
  • Ensuring compliance with Civil Procedure Rules and relevant protocols

About You

  • 2–6 years’ PQE in Clinical Negligence and/or Personal Injury
  • Strong experience handling Clinical Negligence or medical negligence claims
  • Excellent client care skills with a sensitive, compassionate approach
  • Strong analytical, drafting and organisational abilities
  • Confident managing complex medical injury cases independently
  • A proactive, professional team player with strong communication skills

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • A supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Excellent progression opportunities
  • Recognition and support for legal awards and professional development
  • Hybrid working and modern systems

If you’re committed to helping clients navigate the challenges of Clinical Negligence, medical injury and medical negligence claims — and want to join a firm that truly values its people — we’d love to hear from you.
