Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Fit Out (CAT A & B)

Location: City of London

Salary: Up to £65,000 + package

Contract: Permanent

About the role

A growing commercial fit out contractor in Central London is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a business built on trust, repeat clients and long‑standing relationships within the office fit out sector.

You’ll report directly into the Pre‑Construction Lead and the Business Director, giving you clear visibility, genuine support and the autonomy to take ownership of your projects. It’s a mature, collaborative working environment with less corporate red tape and more freedom to deliver work in a way that suits you.

This role is open to candidates from both contractor and consultancy backgrounds, provided you have strong experience in office CAT A / CAT B fit out projects and are keen to make the move into a contractor environment.

The projects

You’ll be delivering a variety of office fit out schemes, including:

• CAT A and CAT B commercial fit outs
• Workplace refurbishments across Central London
• Projects up to £7m in value
• Long-term, repeat clients within the office interiors and construction sector

Key responsibilities

• Managing commercial duties across multiple office fit out projects
• Preparing cost plans, budgets and financial forecasts
• Procuring subcontractors and managing packages
• Handling valuations, variations and final accounts
• Working closely with Project Managers to ensure commercial performance
• Building strong client and consultant relationships

What we're looking for

• Quantity Surveying experience in commercial construction or office fit out
• Strong understanding of CAT A / CAT B projects
• Candidates from a consultancy background are very welcome, as long as you’re motivated to transition into a contractor setting
• Confident managing packages and working independently
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to take initiative
• A team‑focused mindset and ability to build trust quickly
