About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Property Legal Assistant to join our busy and growing commercial property team in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their legal career within a supportive and professional environment.

You will work closely with experienced solicitors handling a broad range of commercial property matters, providing essential administrative and legal support to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with commercial property transactions including sales, acquisitions, leases, and refinancing
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Submitting Land Registry applications and SDLT returns
  • Conducting property searches and due diligence
  • Managing files from instruction through to completion
  • Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and third parties
  • Maintaining accurate case management records
  • General administrative support to the commercial property team

About You

  • Previous experience in a legal assistant or legal secretary role (commercial property experience preferred)
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • A team player with a positive and proactive approach
