Job description

Business Analyst – Sage Intacct (Fund Accounting Transformation)

London (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)

6-Month Contract

Inside IR35

Up to £475 per day

We’re supporting a multi-phase finance transformation programme focused on modernising fund accounting, reporting, and data architecture. As part of this initiative, we’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Sage Intacct expertise to support data discovery, reconciliation, and future-state design.

The Role

You’ll work closely with finance, fund accounting, and technology teams to analyse existing Sage Intacct configurations, data structures, and accounting workflows. The focus will be on understanding current-state data models and reporting logic, supporting reconciliation exercises, and contributing to the design of a target-state accounting and integration architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document Sage Intacct configurations (chart of accounts, entities, dimensions, reporting hierarchies)
  • Map GL, sub-ledger, and journal data models and reporting feeds
  • Support data extraction, cleansing, and reconciliation activities
  • Review accounting workflows and identify opportunities for automation and improvement
  • Collaborate with technology teams on APIs, exports, and integration design
  • Create process maps, data flows, and documentation to support migration planning
  • Validate trial balances and account mappings against investor-level reporting

Required Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in financial systems or fund accounting analysis
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Intacct data structures, reporting logic, and journal processes
  • Experience reconciling Intacct data with other financial platforms
  • Solid understanding of fund accounting concepts (capital calls, distributions, fees, valuations)
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working across finance and technology stakeholders

Desirable

  • Private equity or fund administration exposure
  • Experience in financial system migration or data remediation programmes
  • Basic SQL, Excel, or BI tool proficiency

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role within a high-impact transformation programme, requiring someone confident working across both accounting operations and financial systems architecture.
