We’re a well-established, family-owned motor finance lender delivering responsible vehicle finance solutions across the UK.

As our portfolio continues to expand, we’re investing in our Legal & Recoveries capability and we’re looking for an experienced Legal / Litigation Manager to take ownership of post-default strategy and drive best-in-class customer and commercial outcomes.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine litigation expertise, operational leadership and commercial decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll own the end-to-end recoveries lifecycle, including:

✅ Repossession strategy and asset recovery

✅ Managing litigation and shortfall recovery activity

✅ Leading third-party solicitors, enforcement agents & DCAs

✅ Overseeing defended claims, settlements and legal escalations

✅ Ensuring FCA, CONC and Consumer Duty compliance

✅ Driving improved recovery performance and reduced losses

✅ Providing MI and strategic insight to senior leadership

✅ Lead and manage Legal and Recoveries team members

This role offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to shape how recoveries operate within a growing lender.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines legal understanding with commercial recoveries experience.

You’ll likely have:

Strong litigation/recoveries experience within motor finance or consumer credit

Excellent knowledge of FCA regulation, CONC and Consumer Credit Act

Experience managing repossessions and enforcement processes

Proven supplier and panel management experience

Confidence handling complex or defended cases

Strong decision-making and stakeholder communication skills

A data-driven, performance-focused mindset

Nice to have:

✔ Solicitor, CILEX, Paralegal or equivalent practical legal background
