Platform Product Manager

Forcepoint is looking for a Platform Product Manager

Job description

Forcepoint is seeking a highly experienced Principal Platform Product Manager to lead the strategy, evolution, and execution of our global cloud services platform. This role will focus on cloud service availability, scalability, regional expansion, and new and emerging privacy and compliance requirements across our product portfolio.

As a senior individual contributor, you will own critical platform capabilities that enable multiple Forcepoint products and customers worldwide. You will operate at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, security, compliance, and business strategy, influencing executive decisions and driving long-term platform investments.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Vision:

  • Define and own the long-term vision and multi-year roadmap for Forcepoint’s cloud services platform, with a focus on availability, resilience, scalability, and regional expansion
  • Translate business growth, customer requirements, and regulatory demands into platform-level product strategy and prioritized initiatives
  • Establish clear success metrics (availability SLAs, latency targets, regional coverage, compliance readiness

Cloud Availability & Expansion:

  • Lead platform initiatives to improve global service availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and operational resilience
  • Drive cloud expansion strategy, including new regions, data centers, and sovereign or regulated environments
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure architectural decisions support uptime, performance, and scale

Privacy, Compliance & Data Residency:

  • Own platform requirements related to privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, data residency, sector-specific regulations, emerging regional mandates)
  • Anticipate and evaluate new and evolving compliance requirements, translating them into scalable platform capabilities rather than one-off solutions
  • Partner with Legal, Privacy, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure platform designs meet regulatory and contractual obligations

Leadership & Influence:

  • Serve as a senior product leader and trusted advisor to Engineering, Operations, Security, and executive leadership
  • Influence architectural and investment decisions without direct authority

Communication & Alignment:

  • Communicate platform strategy, roadmap, and trade-offs to executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Lead platform roadmap reviews, risk discussions, and executive briefings
  • Support customer, partner, and field-facing conversations related to availability, expansion, and compliance posture

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant focus on platform, cloud, or infrastructure products
  • Solid understanding and experience in product management processes. Know how to create MRDs/PRDs, perform competitive analysis, feature/function prioritization and assessment, and go to market plans.
  • Business focus with strong technical background and well-developed analytical skills
  • Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience owning highly available, distributed cloud services at global scale
  • Strong understanding of cloud architectures, availability patterns, and operational excellence (SLAs, SLOs, DR, resiliency)
  • Deep familiarity with privacy, data protection, and compliance frameworks and how they impact cloud platform design
  • Excellent strategic thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills in complex, regulated environments
  • Exceptional communication skills, including executive-level presentations and customer-facing discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in matrixed organizations

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with SSE, SASE, DLP, or CASB platforms
  • Experience with sovereign cloud, data localization, or regulated industry deployments
  • Familiarity with global cloud providers and hybrid / multi-cloud environments
