Environment Advisor

Shirley Parsons is looking for a Environment Advisor

Job description

We’re partnered with a leading UK construction business who are looking to appoint an Environmental Advisor to support projects across the Midlands, North and Wales region.

Are you ready to make a genuine impact on environmental performance across major construction projects? This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor where sustainability, collaboration and continuous improvement sit at the heart of project delivery. You’ll be joining a supportive HSEA function where you’ll have autonomy, visibility on site, and the chance to influence environmental standards across a diverse project portfolio.

Projects are located across Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Wrexham, Bristol, Swindon, Bicester and Doncaster, so regular travel and site presence is essential.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting environmental compliance and maintaining an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System across projects
  • Conducting site inspections, audits and supporting corrective actions to drive continuous improvement
  • Working with project teams to implement environmental controls including monitoring, ecology management and pollution prevention
  • Providing technical environmental advice, supporting incident response and liaising with regulators and stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years’ environmental experience within construction, infrastructure or consultancy environments
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Management, Sustainability or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and confidence working with operational site teams
  • Ability to manage your own diary, work independently across multiple locations and hold a full UK driving licence

This is more than just a job, it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful. If you're ready to grow your career while helping to build a more sustainable world, we’d love to hear from you.
