Senior Operations & Underwriting Assistant – Fenchurch Street, City of London

A specialist insurance services platform in the City of London is looking for an experienced Senior Operations & Underwriting Assistant to join its growing Operations function. This role sits at the centre of a fast‑paced MGA environment and would suit someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and supporting underwriting teams with high‑quality operational delivery.

About the role

• Day‑to‑day operational and administrative support across multiple MGAs

• Acting as a key point of contact for post‑bind queries

• Managing credit control, financial checks, and system reconciliations

• Supporting month‑end close and ensuring all deadlines are met

• Producing accurate KPI and performance reports

• Liaising between underwriting teams and senior management

• Identifying opportunities to enhance operational processes

• Handling ad‑hoc operational matters for internal and external stakeholders

• Ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements

About you

• 5+ years’ experience in insurance operations or underwriting support

• Evidence of stepping up, taking ownership, and leading on tasks or processes

• Previous experience as a team leader or informal leadership responsibilities

• A proactive mindset with the ability to think ahead, solve problems, and propose solutions

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels

Package & working model:

• Salary £50,000- £55,000

• Based in Fenchurch Street, London. 4 days in office, Friday’s WFH.
