About the Role

We are seeking a German-speaking Credit Analyst to join a rapidly growing Fintech in London. This role will focus on assessing the creditworthiness of corporate clients across German-speaking markets (DACH region) and supporting lending and risk decisions through detailed financial analysis and market insights.


You will work closely with internal stakeholders including sales, underwriting, and risk teams to ensure robust credit assessments and portfolio monitoring.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth credit analysis on corporate clients, including financial statement analysis and risk assessment.
  • Assess credit applications from companies across the DACH region.
  • Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for approval committees.
  • Monitor existing credit exposures and identify potential risks or deterioration.
  • Analyse financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and business models.
  • Support underwriting decisions in line with company risk policies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Stay up to date with market trends and economic developments impacting the DACH region.


Requirements

  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Experience in credit analysis, corporate banking, lending, or financial risk.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and credit risk principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).


Preferred Experience

  • Experience covering DACH markets.
  • Background in a bank, fintech, credit fund, or financial institution.
  • Knowledge of corporate lending, trade finance, or structured finance.
  • Familiarity with credit rating methodologies.
