Our Client is seeking an experienced Equities Sales Trader with strong execution capability and existing client relationships. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role within a lean, entrepreneurial environment best suited to someone who thrives with autonomy, direct access to leadership, and the ability to shape client coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute global equities orders across major markets, including US equities, with high accuracy and speed.
- Provide real‑time market colour, trade ideas, and execution strategies to institutional clients.
- Manage and expand a book of client relationships (asset managers, hedge funds, private banks, family offices, etc.).
- Handle full lifecycle of orders: pricing, liquidity sourcing, routing, best execution, and post‑trade follow‑up.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to strengthen the firm’s global equities offering.
- Support business development by identifying new revenue opportunities and cross‑selling other products where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
Key Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in equities sales trading, ideally within a small or mid‑sized broker/dealer environment.
- Strong understanding of execution, market microstructure, routing, liquidity, and algorithmic trading tools.
- Existing buy‑side client relationships and the ability to generate consistent flow.
- Proven track record operating in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment with limited hierarchy.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a small team.
- Strong communication skills and comfort interfacing directly with senior decision-makers.
- UK or US market experience required; global market exposure preferred.
- FCA registered or able to become registered.
