Interim Legal Counsel

Job description

A global consumer manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Legal Counsel to join its team on a 6-month interim contract.

This is a senior, commercially focused legal role supporting an international Direct Procurement function within a fast-paced, multinational environment.

You will provide strategic, practical legal advice across a broad range of commercial and compliance matters, partnering closely with procurement and business leaders globally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting and negotiating complex, high-value supply chain and procurement contracts
• Advising on risk allocation (indemnities, limitation of liability, IP, insurance, regulatory, tax, data protection etc.)
• Supporting procurement activity across the full contract lifecycle
• Driving consistency, structure and best practice across international operations
• Collaborating cross-functionally to balance commercial objectives with risk management
• Supporting legal efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• 10+ years’ experience in commercial and international business law
• Background in a multinational corporation and/or large law firm
• Strong experience negotiating high-value global contracts
• Manufacturing or supply chain exposure preferred
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused
• Comfortable operating independently within a geographically dispersed legal team
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
