Claims Specialist - Energy
Eames have partnered with a leading global insurer who are looking for a motivated individual who has a genuine interest in energy and prior experience within the Insurance space to join their experienced and highly regarded claims team. This is a great opportunity to learn from specialists within the energy claims space and be exposed to all lines of Energy.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated organisational capability with strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Competent analytical abilities supported by clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong decision‑making abilities with sound, reasoned judgment, and an understanding of when to escalate matters appropriately.
- High level of proficiency in IT systems and tools.
- Experience in data analysis would be beneficial.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- A genuine interest in energy.
What you'll do
- Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, partnering on initiatives that support client retention and the pursuit of new business.
- Contribute to raising the profile of the claims function by participating in client meetings and representing the team at industry conferences, events, and other external engagements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across underwriting, engineering, and actuarial disciplines to review portfolio performance, assess risk mitigation approaches, refine policy language, and monitor evolving claims trends.
- Provide clear, insightful communication to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring the effective exchange of relevant information.
- Engage with external specialists including surveyors, adjusters, and legal professionals when needed.
- Assist in the oversight and governance of third‑party partners who hold delegated authority for claims handling.
- Operate within the role’s delegated authority parameters, with financial limits reviewed on a regular basis.
- Maintain compliance with organisational standards, industry guidelines, and all applicable conduct expectations
