Main purpose:
Gas Distribution Senior Modeller to lead a team of modellers building up a national roll our modelling project in Central Asia. You will be based in the UK but the position might require extensive travelling to Azerbaijan.
You will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with specialist gas distribution modelling expertise (including model build, calibration, system assessment and optioneering of complex distribution systems) and with a good understanding of the UK gas industry best practice and regulation, statutory requirements, and regulatory priorities.
The role will span both consultancy technical inputs and software skills such a team management and client liaison.It will require a strong technical background in modelling and a passion for understanding and evaluating gas distribution problems and its solutions. It will also require a good understanding of large SCADA and GIS data sets and its use for gas distribution modelling projects.
Main duties
- To undertake from scratch gas distribution modelling for the whole of the country.
- To lead and work alongside other modelling team members from different background and ethnicities.
- To provide technical expertise in data analysis, interpretation and modelling
- To support the training of staff and clients in gas distribution modelling related topics
