Top 30 International Law Firm

3–6 Month FTC | Start ASAP | £120,000–£130,000 FTE

An excellent opportunity has arisen at our client for a Banking & Finance lawyer to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance team of a leading Top 30 international law firm. This is a 3–6 month fixed-term contract, offering high-quality work, a collaborative culture, and exposure to a broad range of UK and cross‑border financing matters.


The Team:

The Banking & Finance team advises on a wide spectrum of mid‑market and international finance transactions. The practice spans:

  • Acquisition finance
  • Corporate lending
  • Leveraged finance
  • Asset and receivables finance
  • Infrastructure and project finance
  • Fund finance
  • Debt capital markets and derivatives


Key Responsibilities:

The role is non-contentious and will involve work across one or more of the core Banking & Finance areas. You will work directly with Partners and senior members of the team on matters including:


· Acting for banks, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers on a wide range of syndicated and bilateral facilities.

· Drafting and negotiating loan agreements (senior and mezzanine), security documentation, intercreditor agreements and ancillary documents.

· Advising on leveraged acquisition finance structures and corporate lending transactions for both lenders and borrowers.

· Drafting and advising on receivables and asset-backed finance arrangements.

· Supporting on project finance mandates, including drafting and negotiating project-related finance documents.

· Coordinating cross-border matters, liaising with overseas counsel and managing legal opinions.


About You:

· Qualified solicitor with ideally 3+ PQE in Banking & Finance from a leading law firm.

· Strong technical understanding of finance transactions and experience running matters with an appropriate level of autonomy.

· Confident drafter and negotiator with strong commercial awareness.

· Collaborative, solutions‑focused and able to build trust with partners and clients.

· Strong communication skills and able to slot seamlessly into a fast-paced, high-performing team.


The role is ideally on a full-time basis, however, applications are welcome from individuals who are seeking to work 4 days a week. The firms' hybrid policy is 60% of time in the office.
