The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Service Designer to support the delivery of user-centred digital services within a multidisciplinary consultancy team, working with a high-profile UK public sector client.

You’ll play a key role shaping end-to-end services across discovery, alpha and beta, ensuring they meet user needs and GDS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead service design across discovery, alpha and beta phases
• Produce service artefacts (journey maps, blueprints, service models)
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
• Apply GDS standards and accessibility (WCAG AA) best practice
• Collaborate with Product, UR, Dev and Policy teams
• Support design leadership and mentor junior team members

Essential Experience

• Senior Service Designer experience within UK public sector
• Strong knowledge of GDS Service Standard and assessments
• Experience improving complex, multi-touchpoint services
• Confident facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to shape service strategy while delivering hands-on
