Job description

We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Goods Inward & Parts Assistant to join our team in Fulbourn, Cambridge.


Reporting to the Parts & Retail Manager, you’ll play a key role in organising and controlling the goods inward area, ensuring stock is efficiently received, processed, and distributed to other branches in a timely manner. You’ll help maintain a well-organised workspace that enables quick and easy access for the Parts and Retail team, while also supporting workshop and customer requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer stock into stores and showroom areas
  • Unpack branch deliveries and process supplier parcels
  • Load and unload deliveries and collections
  • Support workshop orders and enquiries
  • Carry out stock checks as required
  • Deliver efficient, friendly, and professional customer service
  • Work towards departmental and branch targets
  • Follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times


About You

  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (face-to-face, phone, and email)
  • Competent with general computer systems
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Proactive and able to use your own initiative
  • Good level of general health and fitness
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)


Additional Information:

Start Date: Immediate, but subject to replacement of existing role if successful

Location: Fulbourn, Cambridge, CB21 5EX

Hours: 39hrs per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch). Saturdays as per rota. Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, hourly paid

Salary: £Competitive, depending on experience
