Senior Solicitor - Public Law

Job description

We are working with an elite national law firm who are seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join their Public Law team within their London office.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a highly regarded Public Law team, acting as a part of an innovative team with specialist expertise in public inquiries, internal investigations, and police misconduct matters. The candidate will support both statutory and non-statutory inquiries, with responsibilities including undertaking internal investigations and independent reviews, handling and leading large-scale projects, dealing with public law challenges, and advising on litigation related to national security matters.

The candidate will play a key role in public inquiry processes, advising on some of the most high-profile inquest and public law matters in the country. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives, while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria

• 4+ PQE;
• Strong background in commercial disputes in a medium to large commercial firm;
• Excellent commercial awareness;
• Outstanding academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Negotiation skills;
• Willingness to become involved in business development;
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
