Job description
We are looking for an Interiors Technician to join our established Interior Design studio in London. If you are an ambitious technical designer looking to further your career within a successful, collaborative practice, this is a great opportunity!
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely within a close-knit project team, positively contributing and communicating effectively
- Assist the team in preparing design documentation and ensuring Building Regulations compliance
- Primarily support delivery across RIBA Stages 3 and 4, producing tender and construction information
- Prepare and deliver detailed technical drawing packages, including partitions, joinery, and architectural metalwork
- Update, manage, and coordinate the Revit model regularly
- Coordinate consultant drawings and models to ensure integrated design solutions
- Take meeting minutes and prepare site reports
- Undertake site visits to monitor progress and inspect works
- Liaise with contractors and specialist trade contractors
- Support live projects on site, resolving technical queries and coordinating information with contractor teams
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Qualified Architectural Technologist or Technician
- Solid post-qualification industry experience (strong graduate portfolios will also be considered, with an emphasis on workplace fit-out)
- Experience on large-scale commercial or workplace projects is desirable
- Demonstrable experience across all project stages, with a strong focus on RIBA Stages 3–5
- Proven experience managing complex Revit models and coordinating with consultants
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Good working knowledge of additional software such as Word, Excel, and Enscape
- Experience with NBS, InDesign, Photoshop, or SketchUp is desirable
